Artist or group name. If the artist has a review page, then the name will be a clickable hyperlink to that review page.
Album title. Some titles have been available under different names. The original title is generally listed first with alternate title in parentheses (aka...).
Country or region. This is often a difficult item to identify as many countries, particularly in Eastern Europe, have dissolved into smaller countries. Also, when a group has no central nationality, "Various" is used.
Year of release. For archive or compilation albums, the year generally represents either the last year represented in the recording or the primiary year that most of the material was recorded in.
Significance Statistic. This is an adjusted value of the average that takes into account the number of people who have rated an album. As more people have rated the album in question, the Significance Stat will gravitate towards the title's true average value. But, titles which have very few ratings, will gravitate towards the overall mean value of all of the titles on Gnosis, which is approximately 10.00 . The purpose of this statistic is to add a level of adsuredness to the ratings of albums that make it to the top of the heap.
Standard Deviation. The standard deviation represents how wide the range of individual ratings are around the calculated average value.
Average. This is a straight mean value with no adjustments.
Median. This is the middle number in the sorted series of individual ratings.
These are each person's individual ratings. The heading above is the first 3 letters of each person's last name. Placing your cursor over the abbreviated name will reveal the rater's full name (this feature does not work in some older versions of Netscape).
Styles (future release). This field loosely describes the styles of music that you may find appropriate to the title such as jazz or symphonic.
Qualities (future release). This field list other qualities of the title such as archive or anthology.
