Other musical activities: There was once a time that I wanted to put all this training to test as a composer: BFA - Composition - Bard College. Studied electronic music with Joan Tower (composition), Ben Boretz (improvisation), Virginia Gaburo (microtonal theory), Glenn Mack (Cageian compositional methods), and Ken Russell (Graduate professor, Princeton University). Instruments - marimba, Moog synthesizer, Moss string/brass synthesizer, harmonium, and Fender Stratocaster (1984 American Standard). The reality of a future with no income set in very quickly after I got married and had children hence, the occupation listed above. |
