| Musical styles or qualities that I do not like: I generally don't like music that sounds uninspired, intentionally commerical or inauthentic. More specifically, I guess I'm not really into AOR, "prog-by-numbers", cliches, cheese and bands/artists that take themselves far more seriously than they should. |

| Other musical activities: I used to do my own prog-rock show on WNYU in New York City before graduating, and am still an occasional guest on Plastic Tales from the Marshmallow Dimention, a prog/psych/garage show that airs on WNYU, 89.1 FM in the New York area, from 9-10:30 on Monday nights. You can also tune in online at www.wnyu.org . I write the occasional review for Gnosis and the Giant Progweed, but unfortunately my time for this has been cut way short by school lately. |
| Hobbies / obsessions: Obviously, I like collecting and listening to music. Aside from music and school, my spare time is pretty much devoted to spending whatever time I can with friends and navigating the New York bar scene in search of good drink, good conversation and European girls. I like shooting the shit about music, books, sports, culture and life in general, although I often get carried away expounding on economics and the virtues of the free market. I also love to read when I get the chance - science fiction is my favorite. |
