1 Latte E Miele Il Calvario Passio Secundum Mattheum 1972 Polydor/Polygram
In this song, there are some parts that sound reminiscent of ELP's 3 Fates. But, it goes far beyond that with beautiful and dark choir section that reminds me of William Sheller's _Lux Aeterna_ or Igor Wakhevitch's _Docteur Faust_. The album is a perfect blending of classical sounding motifs with soaring guitars, choirs, keyboards, synths, acoustic guitars... The album is very dynamic with many different influences. There are even bits with a Latin jazz feel.

2 Genfuoco terra promessa (parte 2) Dentro L'Invisibile 1979 Mellow Records
Genfuoco is a fairly mellow folksy prog album with flute and small doses of saxophone alongside the expected keyboards, guitars, and acoustic guitars. It is an enjoyable light album. Comparable, perhaps, to Celeste.

3 Ibis Premessa Ibis 1975 Mellow Records
Ibis is an offshoot from the New Trolls. I did not find this album to be very proggy. It is about as prog as Styx, Journey or Humble Pie. Although, I only gave you a 2 minute song here, it is indicative of the rest of the album. Does anyone know if their prior album _Sun Supreme_ is any different? I see _Sun Supreme_ on many people's want lists.

4 Osanna Animale senza respiro Palepoli 1973 Fonit Cetra
This is a wild ride here. The album features some heavy guitar with wah guitar solos, typical of the late 60's & early 70's. The music is often hard-rock/prog but with a definate avant-garde twist. The beginning of the album seems to be drawing in some influences of gypsy folk music which is very catchy. The instrumentation includes flute and mellotron. The music is not always full-throttle, but, is very dynamic with many passages of intricate melodies and fine playing. The Fonit Cetra CD release could be better, but, do not let that dissuade you - it is not at all a distraction from the albums greatness. The Japanese version is the one to get - but, do not hold your breath trying to find a copy.

5 Le Orme Contrappunti Contrappunti 1974 Philips
This is considered the last of the great Orme albums. The others are _Uomo Di Pezza_ and _Felona E Sorona_.

6 New Trolls Nato adesso Ut 1972 Fonit Cetra
Of the 2 New Trolls albums that I have heard, my feeling is that they are only mildly progressive. There are some good hard-rock guitar oriented jams, but, the music is not particularly challenging. Nevertheless, it is a very good album. I am interested to hear _Atomic System_ and _Concerto Grosso_ as many people recommend those.
