1 Il Trono Dei Ricordi A memorable fancy Il Trono Dei Ricordi 1994 Laser's Edge
There is no more a confusing prog sub-genre to identify than "neo-prog", but, I think perhaps, this group qualifies. The music is well executed and has a "slick" production. There is nothing overtyly annoying in the music, except that the vocalist tries way too hard to sound like Peter Gabriel. In the end, this album does not impress me too much. But, I can see where it might appeal to other tastes in prog music. I like it enough to keep it, though.

2 Spirosfera Babele Umanamnesi 1996 Lizard
Somewhat comparable to Deus Ex Machina, but less fusion-y and a lot more metal. The vocals sound good except when he is doing this extreme vocal vibrato, which he does a lot, unfortunately. The music is high on complexity. But, overall the album does not appeal to me very much. That could change if I can get used to the vocals.

3 Montefeltro La Collana Riflettente Il Tempo di Far la Fantasia 1993 Musea
Refined classical symphonic comparable to Ezra Winston and Genesis. I know it's cliche to say so, but, the guitar does have a sound similar to much of Steve Hackett's in Genesis. A very good album from what I remember. Unfortunately, I did not bring the CD in with me today to refresh my memory.

4 Runaway Totem O:.T:. Trimegisto 1994 Black Widow
This album is all over the place. There is a stong Zeuhl element ala Magma. Sometimes it gets into an almost thrash/punk style. I like it. It is very complex and covers alot of different styles, moods, and sounds and blends them all very well. This band is still together making more albums. They have 3 to date, although, I have not heard the others.

5 Syndone Bambole Inca 1993 Vinyl Magic
This album features some great keyboard playing of both new synths and analog keys. Some great sounds. Hints of ELP and Gentle Giant. Sometimes the music gets a bit simplistic with almost an arena-rock style. It is a decent effort overall. Will appeal to fans of heavy keyboard prog music like Le Orme, et al.

6 Divae Gargantua Bestemmia ... Determinazione 1995 Progressivamente
Wow, this is a great cd. Dynamic, energetic compositions and performances. This is apparently the only album they put out. It would be a shame if this talented band called it quits already. All of the musicians are exemplerary. I would say that their approach is similar to Banco in some instances, although they do not sound like them. The sound of the band reminds me a little more of Czech band Stromboli with a mix of high energy fusion and symphonic. Highly recommended!
