Quidam, from Poland, have a prog/pop sound with some Camel and
late seventies Genesis influences. They have your standard
rock group instrumentation plus flute and pretty female vocals.

Stromboli, from Czechoslovakia, are an unusual mix of atmospheric
rock and fusion. This double CD contains one disk of live material,
some of which was recorded at the Prague Jazz festival. The 2nd
disk is all studio material. Although, the song included here is
instrumental, most of the rest of the album features excellent
female vocals.

This is considered by many to be After Crying's best release.
This is the first one by them that I ever heard, and I was
immediately hooked.

This is some pretty weird stuff here. The song included here
made me think that I was listening to the beginning of a
Woody Allen movie. For of the first side is unusual composed
pieces, whereas the rest of the album is weird improvisational
mayhem. I tacked on about a minute and a half of some of
the improv material at the end of this song. Reportaz are
from Poland.

Solaris' latest release is quite good. All of the trademark Solaris
elements are there - flute, excellent guitar, interesting
compositional developments. They have also added a small amount of
world music elements and choir.
