Another nice effort by Wigwam, before Gustavson left, and the band's music
simplified. Included here are too short songs from different
places on the album.
The Gibraltar Encyclopedia lists a 1972 self-titled release between
Fairyport(1971) and Being(1973). Does anybody know if this is another studio
release or a compilation of some sort? If it is a studio release, it is the
only one that is not on CD.

This a very nice symphonic release. It reminds me a little of
Kaipa, whose first album came out the same year as this. Their
second album "Ekkedien Tanssi" is also good, but, not as good as
the first. The second sounds more "produced".

FJD Sound |

The sound of this album is somewhat raw. It is somewhat of a blues-prog
album, which was somewhat more common 1969-1971. Most of that kind of
music is more appropriately categorized as proto-prog, though, as the
complexity might not be there. I would say that Elonkorjuu is somewhat
in the early UK hard-rock style.

Ad Perpetuam Memoriam |

This is quite a diverse work of music. One thing I can say for sure, is that
you will not be bored listening to it! There is sometimes chanting type vocals,
othertimes the vocals make me think of a rotund German fella singing boisterously
with a huge flask of beer in hand. The music is hard-edged prog with violin
ala King Crimson and Boud Deun, with a number of other interesing sounds that are
completely different.

This is from their first release. They were so polished from the beginning, that I
hold out hope, that I will soon discover some earlier incarnation of this
band, or least, some earlier band that the guitarist was in.

This is Pekka's most recent recorded offering. Once again, he has
produced a piece of music of complete integrity. Pekka's own opinion
that this is his first release that he is completely proud of.
