| 1 | El Reloj | Tema triste | El Reloj (Second) | 1976 | Record Runner |
| Frenetic and intense guitar prog. This is their second and last album. For fans of Crucis. I am also reminded of some 70's Italian bands like Balletto di Bronzo and Semiramis because of the punch that the guitar sends. Turn the volume up to 11! | |||||
| 2 | Anacrusa | Calfucura | Fuerza | 1982 | Philips (LP) |
| Unusual progressive with an orchestral musical backdrop and expressive female vocals. Very good and unique. Mixes of classical, jazz, and soundtrack like elements, and of course, progressive rock. | |||||
| 3 | La Maquina de Hacer Pajaros | Que se Puede Hacer Salve Ver Peliculas | Peliculas | 1977 | Microfon |
| This is the band that Charly Garcia formed after Sui Generis split. This is their second of 2 albums. It is a very good laid back symphonic progressive album with layers of guitars, keyboards, and pleasant vocals. The music is kind of funky, and as with all Garcia bands, there is a pop sensibility. | |||||
| 4 | Sui Generis | Tribulaciones, lamentos y ocaso de un tonto rey imaginario, o no | Confesiones de Invierno | 1973 | Microfon |
| Basically a folk rock duo of Charly Garcia and Carlos Alberto Mestre. The band is filled out by other musicians of the Argentinian rock scene like Billy Bond. This is their second of 3 albums. The music is basically centered around the vocal harmonies of Garcia and Mestre. I am reminded of Barclay James Harvest at times. | |||||
| 5 | Pablo El Enterrador | Elefantes de Papel | Pablo El Enterrador | 1983 | Progressive Rock Worldwide |
| A very good symphonic prog album that too my ears sounds highly influenced by U.K at times. The music is mostly instrumental with very good musical development. Keyboards are the main instrument, but, the excellent guitar shines through as well. A highly recommended accessible progressive album. | |||||
| 6 | Aucan | Tres de Octubre | Brotes del Alba | 1979 | Music Hall |
| Pleasant folky progressive with cello, flute and harmonica in addition to the usual rock instruments. Most of the album is very mellow, but, it picks up often with some excellent soaring guitar leads. A nice thoughtful album. Mostly acoustic. | |||||
